During World War II Chet Peek served as the engineering officer of the 412th Bomb Squadron of the 95th Bomb Group in England. After the war he made a hobby of restoring antique and classice aircraft. He is the author of seven aviation books.

Ernest Groth enlisted in the Navy's V-5 aviation cadet program in 1942. Upon graduation he joined the Marines, and became a multiengine pilot and instructor. He later joined VMR 352 flying C-46 Commandos throughtout the Pacific theater in 1945.

David Turner enlisted in the Army in December of 1940. After the attack on Pearl Harbor he became a B-17 copilot and flew 8 combat missions with the 333rd Bomb Squadron of the 94th Bomb Group. He was shot down on his 9th mission on July 14, 1943.

Bill Newton was a B-24 pilot with the 491st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force during World War II. He was shot down on his 5th mission on July 21, 1944, and spent 303 days as a POW in a German prison camp.

Lawrence Alley was a USMC dive bomber pilot during World War II, but the war ended before he saw combat. Recalled to active duty during the Korean War, Lawrence flew 100 combat missions as an AD Skyraider pilot with Marine attack squadron VMA-121.
